It’s that time to set the mood and get your amour on. Now I’m going to try and keep it a bit different to the other lists that give you the usual Barry White, Goo Goo Dolls and other mainstream clichés and fill it with a few songs that you may have missed but will hopefully do an adequate job of wooing your spouse. I will not take responsibility for which order you play these love bites or when you deem it necessary but here’s my list, I hope it helps.
1. Adele – Crazy For You
Make You Feel My Love is an obvious Adele favourite but this is a little gem.
2. Snow patrol – Just Say Yes
Thinking of proposing? A bit of harmless subliminal messaging wouldn’t hurt.
3. Aloe Blacc – You Make Me Smile
Show a little soulful appreciation.
4. Etta James – At Last
It’s just a bit good.
5. Temper Trap – Sweet Dispostion
Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner.
6. Of Monster and Men – Yellow Light
If I’m honest the whole album would be a suitable, sleepy romantic soundtack but Yellow Light would be a good closer.
7. The Fray – Look After You
Bit over the top, but why not. Fans of the film Jumper will like this
8. City and Colour – The Girl
It’s a bit weird to think this guy was in ALexisonfire. Would recommend any of his albums.
9. Liam Bailey – Save Some Love
I cannot for the life of me find a link to this song, but it’s a cracker from the Chase & Status collaborator.
10. Otis Redding – That’s How Strong My Love is
Cheeky classic. Wouldn’t hurt to throw in Cigarettes and Coffee in with this.
11. Kina Grannis – Valentine
Because it’s relevant
Happy coupling everybody!
